Zanzibar, 12 April 2025 – Tanzania Mwangaza successfully organized a tourism-themed essay competition event on 12th April 2025, aimed at promoting awareness and engagement in the tourism sector among the youth of Zanzibar. The event brought together students from 16 secondary schools across Zanzibar, showcasing their creativity and understanding of the tourism industry.
The program featured a panel discussion with esteemed speakers, alongside various engaging activities designed to encourage youth participation and appreciation of Zanzibar’s rich tourism potential. Outstanding students and schools were recognized for their exceptional essays and contributions.
The guest of honor at the event was the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, whose presence underscored the government’s commitment to youth development and tourism promotion. Other notable attendees included representatives from the Ministry of Education, Commissioner of Tourism, ZBC and NBC Bank — all key partners in the successful execution of this project.
