Youth with Disabilities Seek Scholarship Opportunities at Herrnhuter Academy through Tanzania Mwangaza organization.


Mwera, Zanzibar – 05 March 2025 – A group of youth with disabilities recently visited Herrnhuter Academy College of Tourism and Hotel Management in Mwera, Zanzibar, to explore scholarship opportunities in the tourism and hospitality sector. The visit was part of Tanzania Mwangaza’s ongoing efforts to empower marginalized communities and ensure that no one is left behind in the fight against poverty.

The delegation, eager to secure training in hotel and tourism courses, was warmly received by the Tanzania Mwangaza administration. During their visit, they toured the campus, interacted with instructors, and learned about the various programs offered, including Food Production, Front Office & Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Services, and Tour Guiding.

Tanzania Mwangaza, through its scholarship program, is committed to providing practical-oriented education for youth with disabilities, equipping them with essential skills to access employment opportunities and become self-reliant. This initiative aligns with the organization’s broader agenda of fostering inclusivity and economic empowerment.

Speaking during the visit, Eng. Edger Teacher Mwabungulu, Executive Director of Tanzania Mwangaza, emphasized the importance of vocational training in breaking the cycle of poverty.
